SEO & GEO
Become the business people find on Google, and the one ChatGPT and Perplexity recommend.
·
SEO (search engine optimization) is the body of work that gets your site found on Google for the right keywords. GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) is a newer, increasingly critical layer. Which sites tools like ChatGPT and Perplexity read and cite when answering a question. GEO targets that visibility.
We run the two as one integrated effort. Technical SEO (site speed, mobile compatibility, correct heading structure, schema markup) is built alongside the content format GEO requires (definition-first paragraphs, question-and-answer blocks, quotable passages). Paired with Google Business Profile management, that means visibility in local search and on AI engines at the same time. Our local-SEO priority is Kemalpasa and its surroundings. Technical SEO and GEO work is also carried out remotely for businesses across all of Izmir and throughout Turkey.
This is not a do-it-once-and-forget-it job. Search engines and AI models keep changing, which means it needs ongoing tracking and small, continuous improvements.

SEO & GEO questions we are asked
What is the difference between SEO and GEO?
SEO aims to get your site ranking for the right keywords on traditional search engines like Google. GEO aims to get AI engines like ChatGPT and Perplexity to read your site and cite it when answering a question. The two work through different mechanisms, but they rest on the same foundation. A fast, correctly structured, clearly written site.
When does SEO work start showing results?
SEO is not a tool that delivers instant results the way an ad does. It takes time for search engines to notice new content and start trusting it, and that timeline varies by industry, competition, and where you are starting from. Early technical improvements can show effects fairly quickly, but a lasting rise in rankings is a process that plays out over months. Steady, consistent work is far more effective than a single one-off push.
If I do not have a Google Business Profile, does SEO work still help?
Yes, but for local searches (like "[service] in Kemalpasa"), SEO work delivers much stronger results when it is paired with a Google Business Profile, which is why we recommend the two together. If you do not have a profile yet, we set that up first and plan the SEO/GEO work around it.
What does it take to show up in AI engines like ChatGPT and Perplexity?
First, the content needs to be readable even with JavaScript switched off, and written clearly in a question-and-answer format. AI engines quote passages that answer directly, not vague, decorative text that says little. Second, the site has to stay open to these engines' bots (GPTBot, PerplexityBot, and the like). That is a technical prerequisite. Every site İZVELA builds is constructed to satisfy both from the outset.
We are not showing up on Google. Why is our site invisible?
It usually comes down to one of three things. The site may never have been crawled by Google, in which case it cannot appear in results at all. It may have been crawled but carry none of the wording people are actually typing, in which case it is not judged relevant. The third is competition, where sites doing the same work have been in the index for years. Which one it is has to be measured rather than guessed.
Should we pay for ads or invest in SEO?
They are separate jobs and neither replaces the other. Paid advertising keeps you at the top for as long as you pay, and visibility ends the day you stop. SEO works more slowly but it lasts. For a newly opened business, using both makes sense. Advertising brings customers from day one while SEO builds the durable ground underneath. We handle ad management as well.
What does it take to appear in AI answers?
Tools like ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity feed their answers from search indexes, so the precondition is still being indexed. On top of that the site has to be readable by machines. The content has to exist in the HTML the server sends, questions have to be asked and answered plainly, and business information has to stay consistent. There is no separate trick. A properly built site shows up in AI answers too.
How long does SEO take to show results?
The honest answer is this. The effect of technical corrections can be visible within weeks, while content and authority are measured in months. On a new domain it takes longer, because a search engine needs time to get to know the site. In local searches the work moves a little faster, especially in districts where competition is limited. We do not give you a firm date, and if someone else does we suggest you question it. What we give instead is measurable intermediate steps. How many pages entered the index, which query started showing impressions, and which direction the position is moving.
Do you offer a guarantee?
We do not guarantee rankings, because the system that decides them does not belong to us. When you see an offer guaranteeing first place, one of two things is true. Either a phrase nobody searches for has been chosen, where being first is easy, or the promise cannot be kept. What we commit to is different. The list of work to be done, when each part will be finished and how it will be measured are written down at the start. We share the results without dressing them up, including anything that is not working.
Do you analyse our competitors?
We do, and it is the most concrete part of the job. We open the sites ranking above you for the same query and look. How many pages they have, how long that page is, which phrases their headings carry, how many reviews they hold. That measurement lets us set a realistic target. If a competitor is above you with a two-thousand-word page, a three-hundred-word page is not expected to overtake it. The reverse is also true. On some queries the pages sitting above turn out to be weak, and that is ground which can be won quickly. This measurement is what tells us where competing makes sense.
Do you write the content?
We do, and it is the bulk of the work. But the raw material comes from you. We talk through what you do, what your customers ask most often and the real details of the job. Those details are what make content worth reading. Generic text gathered from the internet says nothing to a reader or to a search engine, while the things known in your trade but never written down make a direct difference. We put what we write in front of you before it goes live, because a wrong technical detail would leave you in a difficult position.
Can you work on our existing site?
We can, but we measure first. Some sites are soundly built and improvement there produces results directly. Others are structured in a way that stops a search engine reading them, and any work done there stays half-finished. The obstacle we see most often is content that does not exist in the page the server sends. In cases like that we tell you plainly. If the budget to be spent on that infrastructure approaches the cost of building a new site, rebuilding is the better answer. The decision is yours, the measurement is ours.
What will we see in the monthly report?
Numbers that lead to a decision rather than decorative charts. Which queries brought impressions, which brought clicks, how the average position moved, how many pages are in the index. Alongside those, what was done that month and what will be done next month is written out. There is one more section. Things that did not work. If something was tried and produced nothing, it stays in the report, because hiding it would waste the following month as well. The report is short and reads on a single page.
Website projects start from $250, and the monthly digital plans are listed separately. Full scope and pricing is written openly on the plans page.
Let's take a look together at where your site stands on Google and on AI engines.
