UCK is a law office in Kemalpasa, Izmir. İZVELA applied frosted film to the office glass, drew the monogram and produced the business card.

The work
Frosted vinyl was applied to the office glazing facing the street and the monogram of the practice was set into the same surface. The same monogram is used on the business card.
Why frosted film
A law office should not be visible from the pavement, but it should not go dark either. Frosted film passes light and blocks the image. The upper band was left clear, so daylight still reaches the ceiling.
The monogram
The letters were drawn as a single interlocking mark and cut in burgundy. On the frosted ground it stands as one colour, so from a distance it reads like a seal.
Business card
The monogram on the glass is also the main element on the card. Repeating one mark across two surfaces means the office is recognised the same way at the door and in the hand.
How the office glass was treated
In a law office the inside must not be visible straight from the street, yet the room must not go dark either. Frosted film meets both conditions because it passes light without passing the view. The upper band was left clear, so daylight still reaches the ceiling.
The monogram of the office was worked into the same surface, which means the identity sits on the glass itself.
